A method of treating small fibre neuropathy comprising administering to a subject in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of compound (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of treating small fibre neuropathy comprising administering to a subject in need thereof, a pharmaceutical composition comprising compound (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof
A method of treating small fibre neuropathy in a human subject wherein said method comprises:
- (a) detecting the presence of one or more genetic variations within the CACNA1A gene and/or the CACNA1B gene of said subject;
- and
- (b) administering (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to said patient identified as having said one or more genetic variations.
A method of treating small fibre neuropathy in a human subject wherein said method comprises:
- (a) obtaining a biological sample from a patient;
- (b) detecting the presence of one or more genetic variations within the CACNA1A gene and/or the CACNA1B gene of said subject, such that the presence of said one or more genetic variations is indicative that a small fibre neuropathy patient will respond to treatment with (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- and
- (c) administering (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to said small fibre neuropathy patient identified as having said one or more genetic variations.
A method of treating small fibre neuropathy in a patient wherein said method comprises the steps of selecting a patient having one or more genetic variations within the CACNA1A gene and/or the CACNA1 B gene followed by administering a therapeutically effective amount of (5R)-5-(4-{[(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxy}phenyl)-L-prolinamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to said patient.
