Abstract
A kitchen workspace and a method of organizing a kitchen workspace is set forth. The kitchen workspace is consolidated into a small footprint area with automated vertical storage shelves for storing and housing kitchen items and kitchen appliances. The automated storage shelves may be provided with electrical power for powering kitchen appliances found on the shelves. Kitchen appliances may be rotated around the automated storage shelves while the appliances are being used. A user of the kitchen workspace is able to stand in a fixed position and access all kitchen items and appliances without moving from the fixed standing position.
Claims20
A workspace comprising:
- a sink;
- one or more food cooking devices;
- and
- a plurality of automated shelves, wherein a hand of a user of the workspace is able to reach the sink, the one or more food cooking devices, and at least one of the plurality of automated shelves while standing in a fixed location.
A method of organizing a workspace, the method comprising:
- defining the workspace to be an area where a user of the workspace can reach with the user's hand while standing in a fixed location;
- providing a sink within the workspace;
- providing one or more food cooking devices within the workspace;
- and
- providing a plurality of automated shelves, wherein the hand of the user of the workspace is able to reach the sink, the one or more food cooking devices, and at least one of the plurality of automated shelves while standing in the fixed location.
