System for connecting implement to mobile machinery

A method for connecting an apparatus to an implement, the apparatus comprising:

• a) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails;
• b) three attachments supported by the first framework for attachment to a three-point hitch;
• c) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted to the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• d) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• e) at least one driver connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails, and
• wherein the implement has hitches for connecting with the connectors, the method comprising the steps of:
• i) placing the implement and apparatus proximate to each other;
• ii) determining the alignment of the connectors and the hitches;
• and
• iii) adjusting the alignment by sliding the second framework relative to the first framework.

A method for changing the position of an implement pulled or pushed by with mobile machinery, the mobile machinery having a three-point hitch, the method comprising the steps of:

• a) selecting connection apparatus for connecting the implement to the three-point hitch of mobile machinery, the apparatus comprising:
• i) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails;
• ii) three attachments supported by the first framework for attachment to the three-point hitch;
• iii) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted to the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• iv) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• v) at least one driver connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails;
• b) attaching the connection apparatus to the three-point hitch of the mobile machinery with the three attachments;
• c) attaching the implement to the slidable second framework with the connectors;
• and
• d) changing the lateral position of the implement relative to the mobile machinery with the driver.

A method of attaching an implement to mobile machinery comprising the steps of:

• a) selecting connection apparatus for connecting the implement to the three-point hitch of mobile machinery, the apparatus comprising:
• i) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails;
• ii) three attachments supported by the first framework for attachment to the three-point hitch;
• iii) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted to the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• iv) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• v) at least one driver connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails;
• b) attaching the apparatus to the mobile machinery with the attachments;
• c) aligning the connectors of the slidable second framework with the implement by moving the second framework relative to the first framework;
• and
• d) connecting the connectors to the implement.

A system for connecting multiple implements to a three-point hitch of mobile machinery, the system comprising:

• I. a first apparatus comprising:
• a) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails and opposed first and second lateral sides;
• b) three attachments supported by the first framework for attachment to the three-point hitch;
• c) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted on the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• d) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• e) a driver supported connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails;
• and
• II. a second apparatus pivotally and removable attached to the first side of the first apparatus, the second apparatus comprising:
• a) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails and opposed first and second lateral sides;
• b) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted on the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• c) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• d) a driver connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails;
• and
• III. a third apparatus pivotally and removable attached to the second side of the first apparatus, the third apparatus comprising:
• a) a first framework disposed in a first plane and comprising at least two parallel, vertically spaced apart, laterally extending rails and opposed first and second lateral sides;
• b) a slidable second framework generally in the plane of the first framework and mounted on the rails to slide laterally along the rails;
• c) at least two connectors supported by the slidable second framework for connecting the slidable second framework to an implement that can be pulled or pushed by the mobile machinery;
• and
• d) a driver connected to the first framework and connected to the slidable second framework for driving the slidable second framework laterally back and forth along the rails.
