## Abstract

In one embodiment, an adjustable cable management system is disclosed. The system includes a tray base having a first end. The system also includes a tray door coupled to the tray base and substantially opposite the first end of the tray base when in a closed position. The system further includes a plurality of cable guides coupled to the first end of the tray base and located between the first end of the tray base and the tray door. A particular cable guide is coupled to the first end of the tray base at a selected angle from among a plurality of selectable angles.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An adjustable cable management system comprising:
a tray base having a first end;
a tray door coupled to the tray base and substantially opposite the first end of the tray base when in a closed position; and
a plurality of cable guides coupled to the first end of the tray base and located between the first end of the tray base and the tray door, wherein a particular cable guide is coupled to the first end of the tray base at a selected angle from among a plurality of selectable angles.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein the tray door is rotatably coupled to the tray base to allow a user access to the plurality of cable guides.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein the plurality of selectable angles are approximately 45 degrees apart.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein the first end of the tray base forms a plurality of apertures, and wherein the particular cable guide engages at least one of the plurality of apertures to couple the cable guide at the selected angle.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The cable management system as in claim 4, wherein the particular cable guide comprises a single prong that engages a selected one of the apertures that corresponds to the selected angle.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The cable management system as in claim 4, wherein the particular cable guide comprises a plurality of prongs that engage a selected subset of the apertures that correspond to the selected angle.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein one or more of the cable guides comprise a magnet to releasably couple the tray door to the one or more cable guides.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein an end of the particular cable guide proximate to the tray door is shaped to allow sufficient clearance for a card ejector.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, further comprising:
a screw that couples the particular cable guide to the first end of the tray base.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, further comprising:
a spring loaded plunger that couples the particular cable guide to the first end of the tray base, wherein the spring loaded plunger comprises a rotation lock configured to orient the particular cable guide at the selected angle.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein the tray door comprises a label.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The cable management system as in claim 1, wherein the particular cable guide comprises:
an elongated portion configured to contact a cable; and
a curved portion extending from an end of the particular cable guide proximate to the tray door to the elongated portion, wherein the curved portion is configured to direct the cable into contact with the elongated portion.

### Claim 13

A cable guide for a cable management system comprising:
an elongated portion having first and second ends,
wherein the first end configured to engage a tray door of the cable management system, and
wherein the second end is configured to couple with a side of a tray base at a selected angle from among a plurality of selectable angles.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The cable guide as in claim 13, further comprising:
a first prong extending from the second end that engages a selected aperture from among a plurality of apertures of the side of the tray base that corresponds to the selected angle.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The cable guide as in claim 14, further comprising:
a plurality of prongs that engage a selected subset of the apertures that correspond to the selected angle.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The cable guide as in claim 13, further comprising:
a magnet affixed to the first end of the cable guide to releasably couple the tray door to the cable guide.

### Claim 17 (depends on 13)

The cable guide as in claim 13, further comprising:
a spring loaded plunger that couples the cable guide to the side of the tray base, wherein the spring loaded plunger comprises a rotation lock configured to orient the cable guide at the selected angle.

### Claim 18 (depends on 13)

The cable guide as in claim 13, further comprising:
a curved portion extending from the first end to the elongated portion, wherein the curved portion is configured to direct a cable into contact with the elongated portion.
