A mobile computer may determine it is located in a vehicle or a conveyance based on a measured distance, satellite related positioning information, and a touch input.

A mobile computer comprising:
- at least one sensor configured to measure a doppler shift of a received signal;
- and
- at least one processor configured to determine whether the mobile computer is in a vehicle or a conveyance based on the measured doppler shift.
A method for operating a mobile computer comprising:
- measuring a doppler shift of a received signal;
- and
- determining whether the mobile computer is in a vehicle or a conveyance based on the measured doppler shift.
