## Abstract

An oral composition for reducing dentinal hypersensitivity according to the present invention comprises a phosphorylcholine-containing polymer as an active ingredient. A general consumer can use the oral composition routinely in various forms. The oral composition is brought into contact with an oral cavity of a user to reduce the dentinal hypersensitivity.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An oral composition for reducing dentinal hypersensitivity comprising a phosphorylcholine-containing polymer as an active ingredient.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The oral composition according to claim 1, wherein the phosphorylcholine-containing polymer comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of homopolymers of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine, copolymers of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine and butyl methacrylate, copolymers of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine and stearyl methacrylate, and copolymers of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine and 2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, and has a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 10,000,000.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The oral composition according to claim 1, comprising 0.001% to 10% by mass of the phosphorylcholine-containing polymer.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The oral composition according to claim 1, having a pH of 5 to 11.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The oral composition according to claim 1, further comprising at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of glycerin, sorbitol, maltitol, and xylitol.

### Claim 6

Use of a phosphorylcholine-containing polymer for reducing dentinal hypersensitivity.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

A method for reducing dentinal hypersensitivity, comprising bringing the oral composition according to claim 1 into contact with an oral cavity of a user.
