## Abstract

A cleaner includes: a suction motor that generates suction force; a dust separation unit disposed under the suction motor and separates dust from air; a handle disposed behind the suction motor; and a battery disposed under the handle and behind the dust separation unit to supply power to the suction motor.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A cleaner comprising:
a suction motor that is configured to generate suction force to thereby suction air;
a dust separation unit that is disposed vertically under the suction motor and configured to separate dust from the suctioned air;
a handle disposed at a rear portion of the cleaner at a position rearward of the suction motor; and
a battery disposed under the handle at a position rearward of the dust separation unit and configured to supply power to the suction motor.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The cleaner of claim 1, further comprising a dust container that is configured to store the separated dust,
wherein the suction motor, the dust separation unit, and the dust container are positioned along a vertical axis passing through the suction motor.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The cleaner of claim 1, wherein the dust separation unit includes one or more cyclone units configured to generate cyclonic flow, and a center axis of the generated cyclonic flow passes through the suction motor.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The cleaner of claim 1, further comprising a suction unit that is extended along a longitudinal axis, the suction unit being configured to suction air and dust,
wherein the handle includes an operation unit that is configured to receive an input for turning on and turning off the cleaner, and
wherein the operation unit is disposed on the handle at a position vertically above the longitudinal axis of the suction unit.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The cleaner of claim 4, wherein the handle includes a first extension that extends upward from a bottom portion of the handle and that is configured to be gripped by a user and a second extension that extends from the first extension toward the suction motor, and wherein the second extension is positioned vertically above the longitudinal axis of the suction unit.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The cleaner of claim 5, wherein the second extension includes an inclined surface, and the operation unit is positioned at the inclined surface.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The cleaner of claim 5, further comprising a display unit that is located on the second extension and configured to display an operation state of the cleaner.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The cleaner of claim 1, further comprising a battery housing that is located vertically under the handle and configured to receive the battery, the battery being connectable upward from vertically underneath the battery housing.

### Claim 9

A cleaner having a cleaner body, the cleaner comprising:
a suction unit that extends along a longitudinal axis from a front portion of the cleaner body;
a suction motor that is configured to generate suction force to thereby suction air through the suction unit;
a dust separation unit that is configured to separate dust from the suctioned air;
a dust container that is configured to store the separated dust;
a battery that is configured to supply power to the suction motor; and
a handle that is positioned on a rear portion of the cleaner body opposite the suction unit,
wherein, based on the longitudinal axis of the suction unit being oriented 45 degrees relative to ground, an entire portion of the suction motor is positioned forward of a vertical line that extends perpendicularly from ground and passes through the cleaner body, and an entire portion of the battery is positioned rearward of the vertical line.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The cleaner of claim 9, wherein the suction motor is positioned closer to the suction unit than to the battery.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The cleaner of claim 9, wherein the handle includes an operation unit, and the operation unit, based on the longitudinal axis of the suction unit being oriented 45 degrees relative to ground, is positioned vertically above the suction motor and the battery.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The cleaner of claim 9, wherein the handle includes an operation unit, and the operation unit, based on the longitudinal axis of the suction unit being oriented parallel to ground, is positioned vertically above the longitudinal axis of the suction unit.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

The cleaner of claim 9, wherein the handle includes a first extension that extends upward from a bottom portion of the handle and a second extension that extends from the first extension toward the suction motor, and wherein based on the longitudinal axis of the suction unit being oriented 45 degrees relative to ground, a first portion of the second extension is positioned forward of the vertical line and a second portion of the second extension is positioned rearward of the vertical line.

### Claim 14

A cleaner having a cleaner body, the cleaner comprising:
a suction unit that extends from a front portion of the cleaner body along a horizontal axis;
a suction motor that is configured to generate suction force to thereby suction air through the suction unit;
a dust separation unit that is configured to separate dust from the suctioned air;
a dust container that is configured to store the separated dust;
a battery that is configured to supply power to the suction motor; and
a handle that is positioned on a rear portion of the cleaner body opposite the suction unit,
wherein the suction motor and the battery are positioned on opposite sides of the horizontal axis, and positioned on opposite sides of a vertical axis that is perpendicular to the horizontal axis.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The cleaner of claim 14, wherein the handle includes an operation unit, and the operation unit is positioned vertically above the battery.

### Claim 16 (depends on 14)

The cleaner of claim 14, wherein the handle includes an operation unit, and the operation unit is positioned vertically above the longitudinal axis of the suction unit.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The cleaner of claim 16, wherein the longitudinal axis of the suction unit passes through the handle.
