A wipe having a residual biocidal property is also provided. The wipe formulation comprises a substrate comprised of a fibrous material, and the formulation present on or in the substrate. The formulation comprises a poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), a quaternary ammonium compound or combination of quaternary ammonium compounds, a surfactant, water, and an optional fragrance. ## Claims ### Claim 1 A wipe having a residual biocidal property, the wipe comprising: a substrate comprised of a fibrous material, and a formulation present on or in the substrate; wherein the formulation comprises a poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), a quaternary ammonium compound or combination of quaternary ammonium compounds, a surfactant, water, and an optional fragrance. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the substrate is water absorbent, water adsorbent, or both. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the substrate is comprised of a material selected from the group consisting of a natural material, a synthetic material, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 4 (depends on 3) The wipe according to claim 3, wherein the natural material is selected from the group consisting of cotton, linen, silk, wool, hemp, flax, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 5 (depends on 3) The wipe according to claim 3, wherein the synthetic material is selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, polystyrene, polyester, nylon, rayon, acrylic, spandex, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the substrate is woven or non-woven. ### Claim 7 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein non-woven substrate is selected from the group consisting of melt-blown, coformed, spunbonded, airlaid, hydroentangled, spunlaced, bonded, carded, laminated, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 8 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the quaternary ammonium compound or combination of quaternary ammonium compounds is in a ratio to poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) of 1:4 to 1:1. ### Claim 9 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) is in an amount of 1 weight % to 5 weight %, and the weight percentage is based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 10 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the quaternary ammonium compound is in an amount of at least 0.2 weight percent, and the weight percentage is based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 11 (depends on 10) The wipe according to claim 10, wherein the quaternary ammonium compound is in an amount of 0.2 weight percent to 2 weight percent, and the weight percentage is based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 12 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the surfactant is a nonionic surfactant. ### Claim 13 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the surfactant is an alcohol ethoxylate. ### Claim 14 (depends on 13) The wipe according to claim 13, wherein the alcohol ethoxylate is in an amount of 0.05 weight % to 0.5 weight %, and the weight percentage is based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 15 (depends on 13) The wipe according to claim 13, wherein the alcohol ethoxylate is a linear alcohol ethoxylate with at least 9 moles of ethylene oxide. ### Claim 16 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the fragrance is in an amount of 0 weight % to 0.5 weight %, and the weight percentage is based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 17 (depends on 1) The wipe according to claim 1, wherein the formulation further comprises an alcohol, a salt, an acid, or a combination thereof. ### Claim 18 A wipe having a residual biocidal property, the wipe comprising: a substrate comprised of a fibrous material, and a formulation present on or in the substrate; wherein the formulation comprises: 1 weight % to 2 weight % of a poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), at least 0.4 weight % of a quaternary ammonium compound or combination of quaternary ammonium compounds, 0.1 weight % to 0.3 weight % of an alcohol ethoxylate with at least 9 moles of ethylene oxide, and a balance of water, wherein weight percentages are based on total weight of the formulation. ### Claim 19 (depends on 18) The wipe according to claim 18, wherein the substrate is comprised of a material selected from the group consisting of a natural material, a synthetic material, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 20 (depends on 19) The wipe according to claim 19, wherein the synthetic material is selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, polystyrene, polyester, nylon, rayon, acrylic, spandex, and a combination thereof. ### Claim 21 (depends on 18) The wipe according to claim 18, wherein the alcohol ethoxylate has at least 12 moles of ethylene oxide. ### Claim 22 (depends on 18) The wipe according to claim 18, further comprising 0.05 weight percent to 0.2 weight percent of a fragrance. ### Claim 23 A disinfectant formulation comprising: 1 weight % to 2 weight % of a poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), at least 0.4 weight % of a quaternary ammonium compound or combination of quaternary ammonium compounds, 0.1 weight % to 0.3 weight % of an alcohol ethoxylate with at least 9 moles of ethylene oxide, and a balance of water, wherein weight percentages are based on total weight of the formulation, and wherein the formulation provides up to 24-hour residual sanitization activity. ### Claim 24 (depends on 23) The disinfectant formulation according to claim 23, wherein the alcohol ethoxylate has at least 12 moles of ethylene oxide. ### Claim 25 A disinfectant formulation comprising: a polymer binder in a range of 0.1% to 20% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation, wherein the polymer binder is an oxazoline homopolymer or an extended or a modified polymer based on an oxazoline homopolymer, a biocidal compound in a range of 0.05% to 20% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation, a surfactant in a range of 0.01% to 20% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation, a pH adjusting agent in a range of 0.01% to 10% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation, glycol ether in a range of 1% to 50% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation, and water in a range of 0% to 99.9% based on the weight of the disinfectant formulation.
