## CPC

- A01M 29/28: specially adapted for insects
- A01M: CATCHING, TRAPPING OR SCARING OF ANIMALS (appliances for catching swarms or drone-catching A01K57/00; fishing A01K69/00 - {A01K99/00}; biocides, pest repellants or attractants A01N); APPARATUS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF NOXIOUS ANIMALS OR NOXIOUS PLANTS

## Abstract

A personal protective field generator utilizes at least one pulse generator to generate one or more carrier signals, which are then modulated by a signal modulator unit and output through a field transmission unit in order to create a personal protective field around a user or other object through the “skin effect,” a byproduct of high frequency pulses at specific voltages. The personal protective field created through the skin effect can repel unwanted contact with the user such as insects, dust, chemical vapors or other environmental hazards.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A personal protective field generator comprises:
a power source;
a processing unit;
at least one pulse generator;
a signal modulator unit;
a field transmission unit;
the power source being electrically connected to the processing unit, the at least one pulse generator, and the signal modulator unit;
the processing unit being electronically connected to the at least one pulse generator and the signal modulator unit;
the at least one pulse generator being electronically connected to the signal modulator unit;
each pulse generator being configured to generate a carrier signal; and
the signal modulator unit being configured to combine the carrier signal of each pulse generator into a combined carrier signal and output the combined carrier signal to the field transmission unit.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The personal protective field generator as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
a housing;
a strap;
the power source, the processing unit, the at least one pulse generator, and the signal modulator unit being positioned within the housing;
the field transmission unit being connected exterior to the housing; and
the strap being connected exterior to the housing.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The personal protective field generator as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the at least one pulse generator comprises an electrical pulse generator, wherein the carrier signal of the electrical pulse generator is an electrical signal.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The personal protective field generator as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the at least one pulse generator comprises a magnetic pulse generator, wherein the carrier signal of the magnetic pulse generator is a magnetic field.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The personal protective field generator as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the at least one pulse generator comprises a mechanical vibration generator, wherein the carrier signal of the mechanical vibration generator is a mechanical vibration signal.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The personal protective field generator as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the at least one pulse generator comprises a radio frequency (RF) generator, wherein the carrier signal of the RF generator is an RF signal.

### Claim 7

A method of generating a personal protective field comprises the steps of:
providing a processing unit, at least one pulse generator, a signal modulator unit, and a field transmission unit;
providing at least one operating parameter for each pulse generator;
providing a signal assembly algorithm with the signal modulator unit;
generating a carrier signal with each of the at least one pulse generator according to the at least one operating parameter for each pulse generator;
sending the carrier signal of each pulse generator to the signal modulator unit;
combining the carrier signal of each pulse generator into a combined carrier signal with the signal modulator unit according to the signal assembly algorithm;
sending the combined carrier signal from the signal modulator unit to the field transmission unit; and
conducting the combined carrier signal from the field transmission unit to a receiving surface, wherein the combined carrier signal is distributed around the receiving surface in order to produce a personal protective field.
