## Abstract

A novel maize variety designated X00H319 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X00H319 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X00H319 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X00H319, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X00H319. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X00H319.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A seed of hybrid maize variety X00H319, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25KM with a second plant of variety PH1W4R, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH25KM and PH1W4R have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-123754 and PTA-121351, respectively.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A plant of hybrid maize variety X00H319 grown from the seed of claim 1.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

A plant part or cell of the plant of claim 2.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

A method of producing the seed of claim 1, the method comprising crossing a plant of variety PH25KM with a plant of variety PH1W4R, wherein representative seed of varieties PH25KM and PH1W4R have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-123754 and PTA-121351, respectively.

### Claim 5

A seed of hybrid maize variety X00H319 further comprising at least a first transgene.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The seed of claim 5, wherein the transgene confers a property selected from the group consisting of male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, disease resistance, waxy starch, modified fatty acid metabolism, modified phytic acid metabolism, modified carbohydrate metabolism and modified protein metabolism.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The hybrid maize variety X00H319 seed of claim 5, further comprising a seed treatment on the surface of the seed.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

A method for producing nucleic acids, the method comprising isolating nucleic acids from the hybrid maize variety X00H319 seed of claim 5.

### Claim 9 (depends on 5)

A plant grown from the seed of claim 5.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

A method for producing a second maize plant, the method comprising applying plant breeding techniques to the plant of claim 9 to produce the second maize plant.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

A method for producing a second maize plant, the method comprising doubling haploid seed generated from a cross of the maize plant of claim 9 with a different maize plant.

### Claim 12

An F1 hybrid maize variety X00H319 seed further comprising at least a first single locus conversion, the seed being produced by crossing the first plant of variety PH25KM with a second plant of variety PH1W4R; representative seed of the varieties PH25KM and PH1W4R having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-123754 and PTA-121351, respectively; wherein at least one of the varieties PH25KM and PH1W4R further comprises a single locus conversion and wherein the seed produces a plant having otherwise the same phenotypic characteristics as maize variety X00H319 when grown under the same environmental conditions.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The seed further comprising the locus conversion of claim 12, further comprising a seed treatment on the surface of the seed.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

The seed of claim 12 further comprising the locus conversion, wherein the locus conversion confers a property selected from the group consisting of male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, disease resistance, waxy starch, modified fatty acid metabolism, modified phytic acid metabolism, modified carbohydrate metabolism and modified protein metabolism.
