Hold down device for window covering looped operator

A hold down device for a continuous loop operator in a window covering installation, said hold down device comprising:

• a first arm and a second arm connected to one another by a connecting web forming a biased connection between the arms, said connecting web enabling resisted movement of said first and second arms toward one another;
• a first head and a second head provided at ends of said first and second arms distal the connecting web, respectively, said first and second arms unconnected at the distal ends and said first and second heads defining first and second apertures, respectively, said first and second apertures extending transverse to the direction of movement of said first and second arms toward one another;
• and
• engaging means in said apertures for engaging a continuous loop operator extending through said first and second apertures.
