## Abstract

This disclosure relates to adaptive recommendations for user-generated mediasets. A mediaset component provides for users to generate mediasets. A user-generated mediaset can include a user-generated playlist or a user-generated media channel. A monitoring component monitors consumption of media, e.g., by a consumer. A relatedness component determines a set of the user-generated mediasets that are related to the media consumed by the consumer. A recommendation component recommends a subset of the user-generated mediasets based on a set of criteria. A rights management component determines a set of authorizations of the consumer for respective media content associated with the set of user-generated mediasets, and takes at least one action based on the set of authorizations, e.g., updating one of the mediasets based on the set of authorizations.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for identifying user-generated media, the method comprising:
determining that at least one media content item from a first user-generated playlist of media content items of a plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items is being viewed by a first entity;
in response to determining that the at least one media content item is being viewed by the first entity, determining a plurality of relatedness values between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein each of the plurality of relatedness values indicates relatedness as a function of attributes associated with the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
recommending a subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items to the first entity based on a ranking of the plurality of relatedness values, wherein the recommendations are presented with a group of actions available to the first entity relating to the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of relatedness values is determined based on user behavior between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the user behavior is a review of a media content item.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items are selected based on each of the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items satisfying authorization criteria.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein the group of actions available to the first entity are selected based on the authorization criteria.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving, from the first entity, an indication that the first user-generated playlist of media content items is to be modified based on the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein an action of the group of actions is modifying the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
in response to receiving the indication, modifying the first user-generated playlist of media content items.

### Claim 7

A system for identifying user-generated media, the system comprising:
a hardware processor that is programmed to:
determine that at least one media content item from a first user-generated playlist of media content items of a plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items is being viewed by a first entity;
in response to determining that the at least one media content item is being viewed by the first entity, determine a plurality of relatedness values between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein each of the plurality of relatedness values indicates relatedness as a function of attributes associated with the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
recommend a subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items to the first entity based on a ranking of the plurality of relatedness values, wherein the recommendations are presented with a group of actions available to the first entity relating to the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the plurality of relatedness values is determined based on user behavior between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The system of claim 8, wherein the user behavior is a review of a media content item.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items are selected based on each of the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items satisfying authorization criteria.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the group of actions available to the first entity are selected based on the authorization criteria.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The system of claim 7, wherein the hardware processor is further programmed to:
receive, from the first entity, an indication that the first user-generated playlist of media content items is to be modified based on the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein an action of the group of actions is modifying the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
in response to receiving the indication, modify the first user-generated playlist of media content items.

### Claim 13

A non-transitory computer-readable medium, comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed on a computing device, perform a method for identifying user-generated media, the method comprising:
determining that at least one media content item from a first user-generated playlist of media content items of a plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items is being viewed by a first entity;
in response to determining that the at least one media content item is being viewed by the first entity, determining a plurality of relatedness values between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein each of the plurality of relatedness values indicates relatedness as a function of attributes associated with the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
recommending a subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items to the first entity based on a ranking of the plurality of relatedness values, wherein the recommendations are presented with a group of actions available to the first entity relating to the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the plurality of relatedness values is determined based on user behavior between the first user-generated playlist of media content items and each of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14, wherein the user behavior is a review of a media content item.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items are selected based on each of the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items satisfying authorization criteria.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16, wherein the group of actions available to the first entity are selected based on the authorization criteria.

### Claim 18 (depends on 13)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the method further comprises:
receiving, from the first entity, an indication that the first user-generated playlist of media content items is to be modified based on the subset of the plurality of user-generated playlists of media content items, wherein an action of the group of actions is modifying the first user-generated playlist of media content items; and
in response to receiving the indication, modifying the first user-generated playlist of media content items.
