Abstract
A flowmeter having one or more conduits (103, 103′) and a driver (104) coupled to one or more conduits (103, 103′) being configured to vibrate at least a portion of the conduit at one or more drive frequencies. One or more pickoffs (105, 105′) are coupled to the one or more conduits (103, 103′) and are configured to detect a motion of the conduit. A housing (200) has a first compartment (400) and a second compartment (402). The first compartment (400) is fluid-tight and encloses at least a portion of the one or more conduits (103, 103′), the driver (104), and the one or more pickoffs (105, 105′). A sealable fill port (418) is configured to allow the addition of a ballast material to the second compartment (402).

A flowmeter (5), comprising:
- one or more conduits (103, 103′);
- a driver (104) coupled to a conduit of the one or more conduits (103, 103′) and configured to vibrate at least a portion of the conduit at one or more drive frequencies;
- one or more pickoffs (105, 105′) coupled to a conduit of the one or more conduits (103, 103′) and configured to detect a motion of the conduit;
- a housing (200) having a first compartment (400) and a second compartment (402), wherein the first compartment (400) is configurable to be fluid-tight and encloses at least a portion of the one or more conduits (103, 103′), the driver (104), and the one or more pickoffs (105, 105′);
- and
- a sealable fill port (418) configured to allow the addition of a ballast material to the second compartment (402).
A method of forming a flowmeter including one or more conduits, comprising the steps of:
- enclosing at least a portion of the one or more conduits in a first compartment of a housing comprising a first compartment and a second compartment, wherein the first compartment is fluid-tight;
- and
- providing a sealable fill port configured to allow the addition of a ballast material to the second compartment.
A housing (200), comprising:
- a first compartment (400);
- a second compartment (402), wherein the first compartment (400) is configured to be fluid-tight and configured to enclose at least a portion of a sensor assembly (10);
- and
- a sealable fill port (418) configured to allow the addition of a ballast material to the second compartment (402).
A method of forming a housing, comprising the steps of:
- providing a first compartment and a second compartment in the housing, wherein the first compartment is configured to encase at least a portion of a sensor assembly and is fluid-tight;
- and
- providing a sealable fill port configured to allow the addition of a ballast material to the second compartment.
