Abstract
A fuel supply device includes a pump unit with a fuel pump that has a rotary body rotating about a rotary shaft and a load receiving portion, configured to receive the load of the pump unit. A connecting portion is provided for connecting the pump unit to the load receiving portion such that the pump unit is suspended by the load receiving portion. The connecting portion is disposed so as to extend across a virtual plane which is perpendicular to the rotary shaft for the rotary body of the fuel pump and passes through the center of gravity of the pump unit.
Claims11
A fuel supply device comprising:
- a pump unit with a fuel pump that has a rotary body rotating about a rotary shaft;
- a load receiving portion configured to receive the load of the pump unit, and
- a connecting portion configured to connect the pump unit to the load receiving portion such that the pump unit is suspended by the load receiving portion, wherein the connecting portion is disposed so as to extend across a virtual plane which is perpendicular to the rotary shaft for the rotary body of the fuel pump and passes through the center of gravity of the pump unit.
A fuel supply device comprising:
- a pump unit comprising a fuel pump, a substantially cylindrical pump casing, a pressure adjusting valve, and a case for the pressure adjusting valve, wherein the pump comprises a rotary body rotating about a rotary shaft;
- a load receiving portion comprising a plate-like member in the shape of a semi-circular arc in the ZY plane, with two flanges extending tangentially from radially opposite ends of the semicircular arc, and forms a flat rectangular band in the XY plane, wherein said load receiving portion is configured to receive and withstand the load of the pump unit via elastic deformation, and
- a connecting portion configured to connect the pump unit to the load receiving portion such that the pump unit is suspended by the load receiving portion, wherein the connecting portion extends directly downward from the uppermost portion of the semi-circular arc of the load receiving portion and where the pump unit is connected to the load receiving portion via the connecting portion, where the connecting portion serves to apply force upward with respect to the load from the pump unit, and where the load then travels outward through the load receiving portion, wherein the elastic deformation of the load receiving portion dampens vibrations.
