Provided are a microorganism having an ability to produce O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid, and a method of producing O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid by using the same.
Claims10
A microorganism of the genus Escherichia having an ability to produce O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid, wherein an activity of α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex is enhanced compared to an endogenous activity level thereof.
A method of producing O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid, comprising:
- culturing a microorganism of the genus Escherichia having an ability to produce O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid in a media, wherein an activity of α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex is enhanced compared to an endogenous activity level thereof;
- and
- recovering O-succinylhomoserine or succinic acid from the culture media or the cultured microorganism.
