Abstract
Process for dehydrogenation of alkanesor alkylbenzenes by using metal sulfide catalyst under the presence of small amounts of hydrogen sulfide.
Claims15
Process for the dehydrogenation of alkanes, alkenes or alkylbenzenes to the corresponding unsaturated chemical products and hydrogen (H2) comprising contacting the alkane, alkene or alkylbenzene with a metallic sulfide (MeS) catalyst in which the dehydrogenation is conducted in one or more dehydrogenation reactors without using steam (H2O) as carrier gas for the alkanes, alkenes or alkylbenzenes, and in the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) without formation of H2S as a reaction product.
