Abstract
The present invention relates to containers for holding liquid samples. The containers may be useful for mixing a liquid sample or lysing cells in a liquid sample. The invention also relates to methods of using the containers of the invention.
Claims10
A container comprising an interior chamber with a central axis and a top comprising an opening, said container further comprising:
- (a) a substantially circular cross section, wherein the surface of said interior chamber comprises one or more substantially linear protrusions substantially parallel to said central axis;
- or
- (b) a substantially polygonal cross section having a radius, wherein said radius is the distance from said central axis to a corner point,
- wherein the volume of said container is less than 5 mL.
