Abstract
The invention relates to a handle for a medical device (10) which has a dual function: gripping (12) the medical device and holding a functional component of a medical system against the medical device, preferably a dialysis filter (4).
Claims16
A handle for a medical device, said handle comprising:
- an element for grasping which is situated at a distance from the medical device that allows for the passage of the fingers,
- a mechanical-connection element that allows the element for grasping to be fixed to the medical device,
- a support suited to receiving and at least temporarily fixing an additional device on the element for grasping,
- in which the additional device and the element for grasping are distinct elements which form a handle assembly designed to be grasped by the hand of a user, in which the additional device has a substantially therapeutic function.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the additional device is a filter.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the additional device is fixed removably to the support.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the element for grasping extends longitudinally along the additional device.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the support comprises at least one additional-device-fixing element arranged on the element for grasping.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the support comprises two additional-device-fixing elements arranged substantially at the two ends of the element for grasping.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the element for grasping is fixed removably to the medical device.
The handle as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the element for grasping with or without the additional device can be detached from the assembly of the medical device to be placed on a new medical device.
A medical device comprising a handle described as in one of the preceding claims, in which the medical device is disposable as is the additional device following a single use, so that the assembly comprising medical device and additional device can be disposed of easily.
The device as claimed in the preceding claim, in which the medical device is fluidically connected to the additional device.
The device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which said medical device is or comprises a sorbent for dialysis fluid.
The device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the medical device is an element of a peritoneal dialysis system.
The device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the medical device is an element of a hemodialysis system.
A handle for a medical device, the handle comprising two distinct parts:
- a first part comprising an additional device designed to be grasped by a hand of a user,
- a second part comprising mechanical-connection elements allowing a support intended to accept and removably fix said first part to be fixed to the medical device,
- in which the mechanical-connection elements are arranged in such a way as to create a passage orifice through which a user can at least partially introduce a hand, in which the additional device has a substantially therapeutic function.
