Abstract
Compositions and methods for the prevention and treatment of blepharitis, where the compositions include verbascoside, oligopeptide-10, and sulfonated shale oil, and the preparation of such compositions.
Claims20
A composition comprising verbascoside and oligopeptide-10, wherein the verbascoside is present in the composition in a concentration of 1.0×10−4 to 1.0 percent by weight and the oligopeptide-10 is present in the composition in a concentration of 5.0×10−6 to 0.50 percent by weight.
A composition for treating or preventing blepharitis, comprising:
- a precombined concentrated mixture of active ingredients including verbascoside and oligopeptide-10;
- and
- at least one cosmetic excipient;
- wherein the precombined concentrated mixture is present in the composition in a concentration of 0.0001% to 5% by weight;
- and
- wherein the verbascoside is present in the composition in a concentration of 1.0×10−4 to 1.0 percent by weight and the oligopeptide-10 is present in the composition in a concentration of 5.0×10−6 to 0.50 percent by weight.

An eye makeup formulation, comprising:
- a precombined concentrated mixture of active ingredients for treating or preventing blepharitis, including verbascoside and a bioactive peptide, collectively present in the formulation in a concentration of 0.0001% to 5% by weight;
- a wax;
- and
- a colorant;
- wherein the verbascoside is present in the composition in a concentration of 1.0×10−4 to 1.0 percent by weight and the bioactive peptide is present in the composition in a concentration of 5.0×10−6 to 0.50 percent by weight.
