A method for preventing or treating spinocerebellar ataxia by administrating a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of silibinin to a subject in need thereof.
A method for preventing or treating neuron damage by administrating a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of silibinin to a subject in need thereof.
A method for preventing or treating neuron damage associated with aberrant accumulation of poly-glutamine proteins by administrating a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of silibinin to a subject in need thereof, wherein the effective amount of the silibinin is in a range from 0.125 mg to 9 mg per kilogram of a body weight of the subject.
