Enhancing the aesthetic beauty of prongs used to retain stones in a jewelry setting through stylized faceted prongs

A jewelry setting comprising:

• at least one full prong having an upper body with a double cut into and through an upper surface of said upper body providing said upper surface with an upper appearance of a faceted diamond, a pair of oppositely disposed grooves in a lower body of said prong, at least a portion of said upper body formed in a shape selected from the group consisting of hemispherical-round shape, square shape, flower shape, marquise shape and oval shape.

A jewelry setting comprising:

• at least one half prong having a half upper body with a single cut into and through a half upper surface of said half upper body providing said half upper surface with an upper appearance of a faceted half diamond, a groove in a lower half body of said half prong, at least a portion of said upper half body formed in a shape selected from the group consisting of half-hemispherical-half round shape, half square shape, half flower shape, half marquise shape and oval shape.

A method of making a full prong for a jewelry setting, comprising:

• a. starting with a full prong having an upper body and a lower body, creating a double cut into and through an upper surface of said upper body providing said upper surface with an upper appearance of a faceted diamond;
• and
• b. creating a pair of oppositely disposed grooves in a lower body of said full prong, at least a portion of said upper body formed in a shape selected from the group consisting of hemispherical-round shape, square shape, flower shape, marquise shape and oval shape.

A method of making a half prong for a jewelry setting, comprising:

• a. starting with a half prong having a half upper body and a half lower body. creating a single cut into and through said half upper surface of said half upper body providing said half upper surface with an upper appearance of a faceted half diamond;
• b. creating a groove in a lower half body of said half prong, at least a portion of said upper half body formed in a shape selected from the group consisting of half-hemispherical-half round shape, half square shape, half flower shape, half marquise shape and oval shape.
