Peer-to-peer communication based on device identifiers

A server system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
• receiving from a first electronic device a first device identifier of the first electronic device and network information of the first electronic device;
• subsequent to receiving from the first electronic device the first device identifier of the first electronic device and the network information of the first electronic device, receiving from a second electronic device, that is distinct from the first electronic device, a second device identifier of the second electronic device and network information of the second electronic device, wherein the second device identifier is distinct from the first device identifier;
• and,
• in response to receiving from the second electronic device the second device identifier of the second electronic device and the network information of the second electronic device, determining whether the first device identifier is associated with the second device identifier;
• and,
• in accordance with a determination that the first device identifier is associated with the second device identifier, sending to the second electronic device the network information of the first electronic device and/or sending to the first electronic device the network information of the second electronic device.

A non-transitory computer readable storage device, storing:

• one or more programs for execution by a server system, the one or more programs including instructions for:
• receiving from a first electronic device a first device identifier of the first electronic device and network information of the first electronic device;
• subsequent to receiving from the first electronic device the first device identifier of the first electronic device and the network information of the first electronic device, receiving from a second electronic device, that is distinct from the first electronic device, a second device identifier of the second electronic device and network information of the second electronic device, wherein the second device identifier is distinct from the first device identifier;
• in response to receiving from the second electronic device the second device identifier of the second electronic device and the network information of the second electronic device, determining whether the first device identifier is associated with the second device identifier;
• and,
• in accordance with a determination that the first device identifier is associated with the second device identifier, sending to the second electronic device the network information of the first electronic device and/or sending to the first electronic device the network information of the second electronic device.
