A device having a plurality of printing units, each for printing on hollow bodies, wherein a transport device that transports the hollow bodies to be printed on into a printing area of at least one of the printing units is provided, wherein at least one of the printing units has a printing forme cylinder (04), characterized in that a plate changer (14) is provided, assigned to the printing forme cylinder (04) in question, wherein the plate changer (14) has a bearing surface (16) on which a printing forme that is or will be arranged on the printing forme cylinder (04) can be placed, wherein when the bearing surface (16) of the plate changer (14) is in a first position, located laterally next to the printing unit, it occupies a first operating position, in which the printing forme in question can be brought forward on the plate changer (14) or can be removed from the plate changer (14), and in that when the bearing surface (16) of the plate changer (14) is in a second position, located directly in front of and along the printing forme cylinder (04), it occupies a second operating position, in which the printing forme in question can be placed from the plate changer (14) directly onto the printing forme cylinder (04), or a printing forme can be removed from the printing forme cylinder (04) and can be carried away with the plate changer (14) to its first operating position.
