Abstract
The subject matter of the present invention is a binder system containing blocked tertiary amines or amidines as co-catalysts for a polyurethane cold-box application. It also relates to the molding material mixtures produced using such a binder system further comprising volatile tertiary amines, a method for producing the molding material mixtures, and the cores and molds made from the molding material mixtures according to the cold-box process.
Claims22
A binder system, comprising:
- (A) at least one polyol component having one or more polyols with at least two OH groups per molecule, wherein the polyol component comprises at least one phenol resin;
- (B) at least one isocyanate component having one or more polyisocyanates each with at least two NCO groups per molecule;
- (C) at least one blocked amine compound obtainable from the reaction of at least one tertiary amine and/or at least one amidine with at least one acid and/or one phenol, each of which may be substituted, as co-catalyst;
- and
- (D) at least one volatile tertiary amine compound having a boiling point of below 100° C. as a catalyst.
