Abstract
Structures having a polymer composition covalently bonded to the surface of the structure, methods of attaching the polymer to the surface of the structure, methods of decreasing the amount of microorganisms formed on a structure, and the like, are disclosed.
Claims9
A structure, comprising:
- a surface having a polymer, wherein the polymer comprises a linear or branched polyethylenimine polymer that has been quaternized with a hydrophobic side chain moiety and a photo cross-linkable moiety, wherein the polymer is covalently attached to the surface, and wherein the structure has an antimicrobial characteristic.
