A nozzle for a layered object manufacturing apparatus, the nozzle comprising a body having an opening from which an energy beam is output and powder of a material is ejected, wherein
- a gas inlet for supplying gas is provided around the opening, and
- a gas outlet for suctioning the gas is provided between the opening and the gas inlet.

- the body includes a recess formed by a bottom surface and a circumferential surface, an output port that opens to the recess and from which an energy beam is output, and an ejection port that opens to the recess and from which the powder is ejected.
