Abstract
A system for setting and sharpening teeth of a saw blade includes a frame, a sharpening assembly and a setting assembly. A block affixed to the frame defines at least in part a blade path. The sharpening assembly is configured to sharpen a first tooth of the saw blade in a first position of the blade path. The setting assembly configured to set the first tooth of the saw blade in a second position of the blade path, wherein the blade path is defined through the sharpening assembly and the setting assembly. An advancement assembly is configured to move the saw blade along the blade path in an advancement direction to advance teeth of the saw blade into and out of the first position, and into and out of the second position.
Claims20
A system for setting and sharpening teeth of a saw blade comprising:
- a frame having a block affixed thereto, the block defining at least in part a blade path;
- a sharpening assembly configured to sharpen a first tooth of the saw blade in a first position of the blade path;
- a setting assembly configured to set the first tooth of the saw blade in a second position of the blade path, wherein the blade path is defined through the sharpening assembly and the setting assembly;
- and
- an advancement assembly configured to move the saw blade along the blade path in an advancement direction to advance teeth of the saw blade into and out of the first position, and into and out of the second position.
A method of sharpening and setting a saw blade comprising:
- positioning a saw blade in a blade path defined through a sharpening assembly and a setting assembly, the sharpening assembly and the setting assembly supported on a frame;
- sharpening a first tooth of the saw blade in a first position of a blade path using the sharpening assembly;
- moving the saw blade along the blade path in an advancement direction from the first position to a second position of the blade path using an advancement assembly;
- and
- setting the first tooth of the saw blade in the second position using the setting assembly.
A system for setting and sharpening teeth of a saw blade comprising:
- a frame;
- a sharpening assembly supported by the frame and configured to sharpen a first tooth of the saw blade in a first position of the blade path;
- a setting assembly supported by the frame configured to set the first tooth of the saw blade in a second position of the blade path, wherein the blade path is defined through the sharpening assembly and the setting assembly;
- and
- an advancement assembly supported by the frame and configured to move the saw blade along the blade path in an advancement direction to advance teeth of the saw blade into and out of the first position, and into and out of the second position.
