Abstract
The present description relates to an inhibitory RNA molecule, comprising an oligonucleotide that selectively knocks down expression a Nanog pseudogene expressed in many human cancers, a replicating viral vector capable of encoding such inhibitory RNA molecule, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said vector, and methods of treating cancer by administration of said pharmaceutical composition.
Claims20
An inhibitory RNA molecule, comprising an oligonucleotide that knocks down expression of NANOGP8 wherein the oligonucleotide is 15 to 29 nucleotides in length and comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of
- SEQ ID NO:3 (5′-GAGGCAGCAGAGACCGCTGCATGCACTTCCAGCCA-3′);
- and
- SEQ ID NO:8 (5′-TCTGACAGGAAGTGGCTGGAAGTGCATGCAG-3′).
A conditionally replicating viral vector, comprising an inhibitory RNA molecule comprising an oligonucleotide that knocks down expression of NANOGP8 wherein the oligonucleotide is 15 to 29 nucleotides in length and comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of
- SEQ ID NO:3 (5′-GAGGCAGCAGAGACCGCTGCATGCACTTCCAGCCA-3′);
- and
- SEQ ID NO:8 (5′-TCTGACAGGAAGTGGCTGGAAGTGCATGCAG-3′).
A method of treating cancer in a patient comprising administering to a patient in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of an inhibitory RNA molecule, comprising an oligonucleotide that knocks down expression of NANOGP8 wherein the oligonucleotide is 15 to 29 nucleotides in length and comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of
- SEQ ID NO:3 (5′-GAGGCAGCAGAGACCGCTGCATGCACTTCCAGCCA-3′);
- and
- SEQ ID NO:8 (5′-TCTGACAGGAAGTGGCTGGAAGTGCATGCAG-3′).
