Abstract
An image forming apparatus includes a state management unit that shifts an authentication state from a non-login state to a login state, a storage unit that stores setting information, and a data management unit that, in a case where a free space of the storage unit is less than a threshold value, deletes the setting information stored in the storage unit at a timing of shifting from the non-login state to the login state and secure a free space greater than or equal to the threshold value in the storage unit.

An image forming apparatus communicating with a server apparatus storing setting information for a plurality of users who log into the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- a memory device that stores a set of instructions;
- and
- at least one processor that executes the instructions to:
- receive, from the server apparatus, setting information for an authenticated user authenticated by an authentication unit;
- display, on a display unit, an operation screen based on the received setting information;
- store, in a storage unit, the received setting information for the authenticated user;
- and
- replace, in a case where a state of storage of the setting information in the storage unit is a predetermined state, setting information stored in the storage unit for a second authenticated user who logged into the image forming apparatus with setting information for a first authenticated user which is received from the server apparatus after the setting information for the second authenticated user is received.
A method for managing data executed by an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a server apparatus, setting information for a user authenticated by an authentication unit;
- displaying an operation screen based on the setting information for the user;
- storing the setting information for the user in a storage unit;
- and
- replacing, in a case where a storing state of setting information of the storage unit is a predetermined state, setting information for a second user who logged into the image forming apparatus stored in the storage unit with setting information for a first user which is received from the server apparatus after the setting information for the second user is received.
A non-transitory storage medium storing computer executable instructions causing a computer to execute the method for managing data executed by an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a server apparatus, setting information for a user authenticated by an authentication unit;
- displaying an operation screen based on the setting information for the user;
- storing the setting information for the user in a storage unit;
- and
- replacing, in a case where a storing state of setting information of the storage unit is a predetermined state, setting information for a second user who logged in the image forming apparatus stored in the storage unit with setting information for a first user which is received from the server apparatus after the setting information for the second user is received.
