Method and Control System

A control system for at least one function of a vehicle, the control system comprising:

• at least two computing devices coupled to each another by a data communication connection;
• wherein each of the computing devices is configured to provide output variables as function variables of the function, and to receive input variables as function variables of further computing devices of the computing devices;
• and
• wherein the computing devices are configured to check, for each input variable to which an output variable of one of the further computing devices is assigned, whether predefined output parameters of the corresponding output variable correspond to predefined input parameters of the respective input variable;
• and
• wherein the computing devices are configured to start up the function if the output parameters of the output variables correspond to the predefined input parameters of the respective input variable.
