Abstract
The power supply device includes a converter including a pair of input terminals, a pair of output terminals, a transformer, a capacitor, and a switching device, and a controller for controlling the switching device. The capacitor is electrically connected between the pair of input terminals. The converter further includes a reverse flow preventer for preventing a current from flowing through a closed circuit including the capacitor, a primary winding of the transformer, and the switching device, in an opposite direction to a direction of a discharging current from the capacitor.
Claims7
A power supply device comprising:
- a converter including a pair of input terminals, a pair of output terminals, a transformer including a primary winding and a secondary winding which are magnetically coupled, a capacitor, and a switching device;
- and
- a controller configured to control the switching device,
- the capacitor being electrically connected between the pair of input terminals,
- the capacitor, the primary winding, and the switching device being connected in series in a closed circuit,
- the converter being configured to, when the switching device is switched to an on-state, store energy inputted through the pair of input terminals in the primary winding and the secondary winding, and, when the switching device is switched to an off-state, produce a DC output voltage between the pair of output terminals by use of energy stored in the primary winding and the secondary winding, and
- the converter further including a reverse flow preventer for preventing, when the switching device is switched to the off-state, a current from flowing through the closed circuit in an opposite direction to a direction of a discharging current from the capacitor.
