An input/output method of an electronic device comprising:

• storing a first specified time to form a beam;
• receiving a sound using a plurality of microphones;
• determining a direction corresponding to the received sound;
• and
• if the direction is equivalent to a second direction, associating a second specified time to the received sound as if a beam is formed in the second direction using the plurality of microphones.

An electronic device comprising:

• a plurality of microphones;
• and
• a reception time compensator configured to form a beam in a first direction using the plurality of microphones;
• determine a direction of a sound received using the plurality of microphones;
• and
• if the direction is equivalent to a second direction that is different from the first direction, change a microphone array delay of the received sound to a microphone array delay corresponding to the first direction.
