Method and apparatus for calibrating an audio playback system

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory communicatively coupled to the at least one processor, wherein the
• at least one memory includes computer program code that when executed by the at least one processor, configured to cause the apparatus to at least:
• receive information about a display;
• determine an angle of the display based upon the received information about the display determined and a first location;
• and
• cause the audio playback system associated with the display to be calibrated dependent on a modified azimuth of a source of a source of audio signals based upon the angle that was determined.

A computer program product comprising at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer-executable program code portions stored therein, the computer-executable program code portions comprising program code instructions for:

• receiving information about a display configured to present an image;
• determining an angle of the display based upon the received information about the display and a first location;
• and
• causing an audio playback system associated with the display to be calibrated dependent on a modified azimuth of a source of audio signals based upon the angle that was determined.
