Abstract
A communication apparatus includes: a specifying unit configured to specify a region in an image; a determination unit configured to determine a mode used for communication of image data from a plurality of modes including a first mode for communicating image data of a region of interest specified by the specifying unit, and a second mode for communicating, in addition to the image data of the region of interest, image data of a region of no interest which has not been specified by the specifying unit; and a communication unit configured to communicate image data with other communication apparatus in accordance with a mode determined by the determination unit.
Claims16
A communication apparatus, comprising:
- a specifying unit configured to specify a region in an image;
- a determination unit configured to determine a mode used for communication of image data from a plurality of modes including a first mode for communicating image data of a region of interest specified by the specifying unit, and a second mode for communicating, in addition to the image data of the region of interest, image data of a region of no interest which has not been specified by the specifying unit;
- and
- a communication unit configured to communicate image data with other communication apparatus in accordance with a mode determined by the determination unit.
A communication method comprising:
- specifying a region in an image;
- determining a mode for communicating image data from a plurality of modes including a first mode for communicating image data of a region of interest specified in the specifying, and a second mode for communicating, in addition to the image data of the region of interest, image data of a region of no interest which has not been specified in the specifying;
- and
- communicating image data with other communication apparatus in accordance with a mode determined in the determining.
A computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute a communication method comprising:
- specifying a region in an image;
- determining a mode used for communicating image data from a plurality of modes including a first mode for communicating image data of a region of interest specified in the specifying, and a second mode for communicating, in addition to the image data of the region of interest, image data of a region of no interest which has not been specified in the specifying;
- and
- communicating image data with other communication apparatus in accordance with a mode determined in the determining.
A communication system including a communication apparatus connected to other communication apparatus,
- the communication apparatus comprising:
- a specifying unit configured to specify a region in an image;
- a determination unit configured to determine a mode used for communication of image data from a plurality of modes including a first mode for communicating image data of a region of interest specified by the specifying unit, and a second mode for communicating, in addition to the image data of the region of interest, image data of a region of no interest which has not been specified by the specifying unit;
- and
- a communication unit configured to communicate image data with other communication apparatus in accordance with a mode determined by the determination unit.
