Non-image based autofocusing in an imaging system including an autofocus light source on a movable carriage variably positioned with offset in parallel to an optical axis of an objective.
Claims13
A non-image based autofocus system comprising:
- an objective disposed to image a sample;
- a movable carriage;
- an illumination source configured to emit an autofocus beam to the sample via the objective, the illumination source disposed on the movable carriage;
- and
- an imaging detector configured to capture an image of the sample and configured to receive the autofocus beam incident thereon reflected from the sample.
