Abstract
An image reading apparatus includes a reading unit that reads an original document that is located at plural locations different in a direction of a depth of field of a photodetector of a sensor module, and a fixing unit that fixes the sensor module in position such that a focal point of the photodetector is located within a difference between a minimum distance and a maximum distance from a light incident surface of the photodetector to the original document.
Claims20
An image reading apparatus comprising:
- a reading unit that reads an original document that is located at a plurality of locations different in a direction of a depth of field of a photodetector of a sensor module;
- and
- a fixing unit that fixes the sensor module in position such that a focal point of the photodetector is located within a difference between a minimum distance and a maximum distance from a light incident surface of the photodetector to the original document.
An image reading apparatus, comprising:
- a reading unit that reads an original document in a first reading mode where the original document that is stationary is read with a sensor module having a photoconductor moving or in a second reading mode where the original document that is moving is read with the sensor module fixed;
- and
- a fixing unit that fixes the sensor module in position in a manner such that a focal length of the photodetector falls between a distance from a light incident surface of the photodetector to the original document in the first reading mode and a distance from the light incident surface of the photodetector to the original document in the second reading mode.
An image reading method, comprising:
- reading an original document that is located at a plurality of locations different in a direction of a depth of field of a photodetector of a sensor module;
- and
- fixing the sensor module in position such that a focal point of the photodetector is located within a difference between a minimum distance and a maximum distance from a light incident surface of the photodetector to the original document.
