Machine tool, measurement apparatus, method for generating working data, cladding method, method for setting temperature of a workpiece

A method for generating work data for a cladding welding machine for machining a workpiece, comprising the steps of:

• (a) storing characteristic data (32) for the cladding welding and storing selectable parameter data (31),
• (b) storing workpiece data (33) describing the workpiece to be manufactured and
• (c) generating the work data (34) starting from these stored workpiece data and the stored characteristic data,
• further including that
• for generating the work data
• (d) manufacturing dynamics data (35) are determined in accordance with the workpiece data, the characteristic data and further parameters for describing the temporal evolution of the manufacturing,
• (e) temperature-related data (36) are determined in accordance with the workpiece data, the characteristic data, and the manufacturing dynamics data for describing temperature effects on workpiece parts, and
• in step (c) the work data are determined also in accordance with the temperature-related data.

A cladding welding method executed with a cladding welding head in a computer numerically controlled machine tool, for manufacturing a workpiece, comprising the steps of:

• generating work data for cladding welding,
• driving the machine in accordance with the work data,
• during manufacturing, measuring temperatures and positions of workpiece surface portions in spatial resolution,
• checking the measurement values, and
• modifying one or more of the following work parameters in accordance with the checking results;
• relative feed rate between cladding welding head and workpiece,
• welding heating power,
• material supply rate,
• material supply speed,
• laser focusing.

An apparatus for controlling the temperature of a workpiece to be manufactured in a computer-controlled machine tool, comprising:

• a mounting portion (52) for mounting the apparatus on a workpiece table of the machine tool,
• a workpiece base portion (53) that is or accommodates a workpiece basis,
• a controllable heater (51) with or without feedback and provided between mounting portion and workpiece base portion for heating the workpiece base portion, and
• a thermal insulation (54) between heater and mounting portion.
