Abstract
A personal care composition comprising a sensate comprising a methyl ketone structure with fewer than two rings. In one embodiment this sensate is selected from the group consisting of gamma methyl ionone; 6-Methyl-5-hepten-2-one; and mixtures thereof.
Claims15
1) A method of treating skin comprising:
- a) applying a personal care composition to a portion of skin to form a portion of treated skin, said personal care composition comprising from about 0.001% to about 20% of a sensate having a methyl ketone structure with fewer than two rings.
15) A personal care composition comprising:
- a) from about 0.001% to about 1% of a sensate selected from the group consisting of gamma methyl ionone;
- 6-Methyl-5-hepten-2-one;
- and mixtures thereof;
- and
- b) from about 50% to about 99.99% of a carrier selected from the group consisting of:
- a oil-in-water emulsion, water in oil emulsion, a water-in-silicone emulsion, an silicone-in-water emulsion, a lathering surfactant aqueous solution, and mixtures thereof.
