Carton with a reclosable opening

A reclosable carton for accommodating a plurality of disposable absorbent articles, the carton comprising:

• a. a wall comprising:
• i. opposing first and second outer edges;
• ii. opposing third and fourth outer edges;
• iii. a first frame portion extending inward from at least a portion of the first outer edge;
• iv. a second frame portion extending inward from at least a portion of the second outer edge;
• and
• v. a third frame portion extending inward from a least a portion of the third outer edge, the third frame portion comprising curved section;
• vi. wherein the first frame portion and the second frame portion do not connect so as to maintain an opening for access to an interior of the carton;
• and
• b. a lid;
• c. wherein the lid overlays the first frame portion, the second frame portion, and the third frame portion before the carton is opened for the first time;
• d. wherein the lid overlays the first frame portion and the second frame portion when the carton is reclosed;
• and
• e. wherein a curved distal section of the lid resides underneath the curved section of the third frame portion when the carton is reclosed.

A reclosable carton for accommodating a plurality of disposable absorbent articles, the reclosable carton having a substantially parallelepiped-shape comprising:

• a front wall, a rear wall opposite to the front wall, a first and second opposite side walls, a top wall, a bottom wall opposite to the top wall and a lid;
• wherein the lid is continuous with the rear wall along an hinge line and is overlaying the top wall;
• wherein the lid has first and second opposite transversal edges and first and second opposite longitudinal edges;
• wherein the first transversal edge of the lid coincides with the hinge line;
• wherein at least a portion of the second transversal edge of the lid is a curve;
• wherein the top wall comprises first and second opposite transversal edges and first and second opposite longitudinal edges;
• wherein the first transversal edge of the top wall is substantially parallel to the hinge line;
• wherein the top wall comprises first, second and third lines of weakness;
• wherein the first and second lines of weakness extend, preferably perpendicularly, from the first transversal edge of the top wall;
• wherein the third line of weakness converges with the first and second lines of weakness;
• wherein the first line of weakness extends transversally inboard from the first longitudinal edge of the top wall;
• wherein the second line of weakness extends transversally inboard from the second longitudinal edge of the top wall;
• wherein the third line of weakness extends longitudinally inboard from the second transversal edge of the top wall;
• wherein at least a portion of the third line of weakness of the top wall is a curve;
• wherein the curve of the third line of weakness extends from a first to a second location of the third line of weakness;
• wherein the curve of the second transversal edge of the lid and the curve of the third line of weakness of the top wall are offset with each other at least between the first and second location of the third line of weakness by an offset distance;
• wherein the offset distance varies and reaches a maximum value between the first and second location of the third line of weakness;
• and
• wherein the second transversal edge of the lid is able to slip below the third line of weakness of the top wall such that the carton is reclosable.
