A method for decontaminating a skin area contaminated with noxious substances by absorbing or capturing the substances, comprising:
- applying absorbent textile composite material to the contaminated skin area for a predetermined period of time, and
- removing the absorbent textile composite material from the contaminated skin area,
- wherein the absorbent textile composite material comprise an optional carrier layer and an active layer, the active layer is connected with the carrier layer and comprises a nanofiber nonwoven optionally filled with a superabsorbent, and the method is free of a washing procedure or a massage procedure.
The method of 50, further comprising stimulating production of sweat in the contaminated skin area, wherein the carrier layer is impermeable to water or oil vapor.
The method of 50, further comprising stimulating production of sweat in the contaminated skin area, wherein at least one of the active layer and the carrier layer is permeable to heat radiation.
A method for decontaminating skin from noxious substances by absorbing and capturing the substances, comprising:
- applying a textile composite to a contaminated skin area for a predetermined period of time;
- and
- removing the textile composite from the contaminated skin area;
- wherein the textile composite comprises a nanofiber nonwoven and an optional superabsorbent integrated into the nanofiber nonwoven, the nanofiber nonwoven having a fiber diameter of less than 1 μm.
