Abstract
A teleoperational medical system for performing a medical procedure in a surgical field includes a teleoperational assembly having a plurlity of motorized surgical arms configured to assist in a surgical procedure. It also includes an input device configured to receive an input to move all the arms of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to a pre-established position. A processing system is configured to receive the input form the input device and output control signals to each arm of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to move each arm to the pre-established position.
Claims22
A teleoperational medical system for performing a medical procedure in a surgical field, the system comprising:
- a teleoperational assembly including a motorized setup structure and a plurality of motorized surgical arms configured to assist in a surgical procedure;
- an input device configured to receive an input to move all the arms of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to a pre-established position;
- and
- a processing system configured to receive the input from the input device and output control signals to the setup structure and each arm of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to move each arm to the pre-established position.
A method of controlling arms of a teleoperational medical system, comprising:
- receiving an input at a user interface to move all arms of a plurality of motorized surgical arms of a teleoperational assembly to a pre-established position;
- and
- outputting a control signal to each arm of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to move each arm of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to the pre-established position.
A method of controlling arms of a teleoperational medical system, comprising:
- receiving an anatomical input identifying a portion of a patient's anatomy to be treated in a surgical procedure;
- receiving an approach input identifying an approach to the patient to be treated in the surgical procedure;
- and
- outputting a control signal to each arm of a plurality of motorized surgical arms of a teleoperational assembly to move each arm of the plurality of motorized surgical arms to a pre-established position based on both the anatomical input identifying a portion of the patient's anatomy and the approach input identifying the approach to the patient.
