Radiation ct apparatus and method of controlling the same

A radiation CT apparatus comprising:

• a rotation unit configured to rotate about a rotation axis;
• a radiation generation unit and a radiation detector which are fixed on either side of the rotation axis in the rotation unit;
• a gantry cover containing the radiation generation unit and the radiation detector and including a breast insert portion configured to insert a breast of an object;
• and
• a moving unit configured to move a counter weight arranged on the rotation unit.

A method of controlling a radiation CT apparatus including:

• a rotation unit configured to rotate about a rotation axis;
• a radiation generation unit and a radiation detector which are fixed on either side of the rotation axis in the rotation unit;
• and
• a gantry cover containing the radiation generation unit and the radiation detector, including a breast insert portion configured to insert a breast of an object, and including an opening portion that can be opened and closed, the method comprising:
• stopping the rotation unit,
• wherein when the rotation unit is stopped in the stopping, the radiation generation unit and the radiation detector are stopped to form a space that allows a user to access the breast insert portion from the opening portion.

A method of controlling a radiation CT apparatus including:

• a rotation unit configured to rotate about a rotation axis;
• a radiation generation unit and a radiation detector which are fixed on either side of the rotation axis in the rotation unit;
• and
• a gantry cover containing the radiation generation unit and the radiation detector, including a breast insert portion configured to insert a breast of an object, and including an opening portion that can be opened and closed, the method comprising:
• stopping the rotation unit at a specific rotation position;
• and
• moving a counter weight arranged on the rotation unit to form a space that allows a user to access the breast insert portion from the opening portion in a state in which the rotation unit is stopped at the specific rotation position.
