Abstract
A toner container installed in an image forming apparatus includes a toner container main body having a predetermined length and in which toner is accommodated, a discharge port through which the toner is discharged from the toner container main body, a shutter which opens and closes the discharge port, a handle provided on the toner container main body, and a pressed portion provided on the toner container main body and which is pressed by the image forming apparatus to project the handle out from the image forming apparatus.
Claims16
A toner container, comprising:
- an elongated toner container main body to accommodate toner, the toner container main body having a rib;
- a discharge port formed on one side of the toner container main body in a width direction perpendicular to an elongated direction of the toner container main body to discharge the toner from the toner container main body;
- a screw provided below the rib and extending along the elongated direction to convey the toner to the discharge port;
- a shutter movably provided at the discharge port;
- a plate-like positioning member extending in the width direction below the rib and provided on the other side of the toner container main body in the width direction;
- and
- a handle provided on a surface of the toner container main body along the width direction.
An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a toner container;
- an apparatus main body;
- and
- a pressing member to press the toner container in a direction of pulling out the toner container from the apparatus main body;
- wherein the toner container having:
- an elongated toner container main body to accommodate toner, the toner container main body having a rib;
- a discharge port formed on one side of the toner container main body in a width direction perpendicular to an elongated direction of the toner container main body to discharge the toner from the toner container main body;
- a screw provided below the rib and extending along the elongated direction to convey the toner to the discharge port;
- a shutter movably provided at the discharge port;
- a positioning member provided on the other side of the toner container main body in the width direction and pressed by the pressing member;
- and
- a handle provided on a surface of the toner container main body along the width direction.
