The liquid composition can be used for forming images on a recording medium. ## Claims ### Claim 1 An image recording method comprising a step of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium, the liquid composition containing: a fluorinated nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the inclusion compound is at least one of a cyclodextrin and a cyclodextrin derivative. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein a content (% by mass) of the inclusion compound is 8.0 times or less as much as a content (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant in terms of mass ratio. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the liquid composition further contains a coloring material. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the liquid composition further contains a reactant that increases a viscosity of an ink containing a coloring material when the reactant comes into contact with the ink. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the step of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium is a step ejecting the liquid composition from an ink jet recording head to apply the liquid composition to the recording medium. ### Claim 7 (depends on 6) The image recording method according to claim 6, wherein the liquid composition is ejected from the recording head having a temperature of 35° C. or more. ### Claim 8 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the recording medium is a liquid-component-non-absorbable or -poorly-absorbable recording medium. ### Claim 9 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the liquid composition is applied to the recording medium having a temperature of 35° C. or more. ### Claim 10 (depends on 1) The image recording method according to claim 1, wherein the recording medium is an intermediate transfer member. ### Claim 11 A liquid composition comprising: a fluorinated nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound. ### Claim 12 An image recording method comprising a step of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium, the liquid composition containing: a pigment; a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound, wherein a content (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant is 0.5% by mass or more. ### Claim 13 (depends on 12) The image recording method according to claim 12, wherein the liquid composition further contains at least one of a water-soluble resin and a particulate resin. ### Claim 14 (depends on 12) The image recording method according to claim 12, wherein the liquid composition further contains a reactant that increases a viscosity of an ink containing a coloring material when the reactant comes into contact with the ink. ### Claim 15 (depends on 12) The image recording method according to claim 12, wherein a content (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant is 0.5% by mass or more. ### Claim 16 (depends on 12) The image recording method according to claim 12, wherein the inclusion compound is at least one of a cyclodextrin and a cyclodextrin derivative. ### Claim 17 (depends on 12) The image recording method according to claim 12, wherein a content (% by mass) of the inclusion compound is 8.0 times or less as much as a content (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant in terms of mass ratio. ### Claim 18 An image recording method comprising a step of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium, the liquid composition containing: a dye; a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound. ### Claim 19 An image recording method comprising a step of applying a liquid composition to a recording medium, the liquid composition containing: a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound, wherein the liquid composition contains no coloring material. ### Claim 20 A liquid composition comprising: a pigment; a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound, wherein a content (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant is 0.5% by mass or more. ### Claim 21 A liquid composition comprising: a dye; a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound. ### Claim 22 A liquid composition comprising: a silicon-based nonionic surfactant; and a water-soluble inclusion compound, wherein the liquid composition contains no coloring material.
