Abstract
Provided are a genetically engineered yeast cell having increased activity of SUL1, STR3, HXT7, ERR1, GRX8, MXR1, GRE1, MRK1, AAD10 or a combination thereof, compared to a parent cell, and also having acid tolerance, a method of preparing the same, and a method of producing lactate using the same.

A genetically engineered yeast cell comprising a genetic modification that increases the activity of SUL1, STR3, HXT7, ERR1, GRX8, MXR1, GRE1, MRK1, AAD10, or a combination thereof, as compared to a parent cell thereof;
- and having increased acid tolerance as compared to a parent cell thereof.
A method of preparing a yeast cell having acid tolerance, the method comprising genetically modifying the yeast cell to overexpress a gene encoding SUL1, STR3, AAD10, MXR1, GRX8, MRK1, GRE1, HXT7, ERR1, or a combination thereof, as compared to a parent cell thereof.
