Abstract
A video processing apparatus and method is provided. The video processing apparatus divides video data and then processes a current divided area of the divided video data by referring to pixels in an adjacent divided area while processing the current divided area, thereby minimizing artifacts generation along a boundary between divided areas when the processed divided areas are subsequently merged.

A video processing apparatus, comprising:
- a memory comprising a first buffer and a second buffer;
- a processor configured to:
- divide an image data into a first image data and a second image data;
- identify a first sub image data included in the first image data adjacent to the second image data, and a second sub image data included in the second image data adjacent to the first image data;
- store the first image data and the second sub image data in the first buffer as a first data set, and the second image data and the first sub image data in the second buffer as a second data set;
- and
- present, via a display operatively coupled with the processor, an image corresponding to the image data processed using the first data set and the second data set.
