Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an amalgam electrode, an amalgam electrode manufactured by the method, and a method for electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide using the amalgam electrode.

A method for manufacturing an amalgam electrode, comprising:
- electroplating mercury (Hg) and a metal selected from the group consisting of Ag, Sn, Cu, Zn, Pb, Sb, and combinations thereof on a surface of a substrate electrode.
