## Abstract

A method for installing a truss-wall stud unit includes coupling a set of bottom plates with a foundation, coupling a set of hinge brackets with the set of bottom plates, coupling a first partial truss with a second partial truss to form a truss-wall stud unit, coupling the truss-wall stud unit with the bottom plates and hinge brackets, and hoisting the truss-wall stud unit into a substantially vertical position. A system includes truss-wall stud units which are connected to bottom plates using hinge brackets. Once connected to the hinge brackets and bottom plates, the truss-wall stud units are hoisted upright into a substantially vertical position using a cable system with a cable support system. Temporary interlocking spacer bars are used to brace the truss-wall stud units at predetermined intervals.

## Claims

### Claim at position 1

1-4. (canceled)

### Claim 5

A system for installing a truss-wall stud unit, the system comprising:
one or more truss-wall stud units coupled with a hinge bracket and a bottom plate;
a cable system coupleable with the one or more truss-wall stud units, the cable system including a cable disposed through a passage of the truss-wall stud unit, the cable system configured to hoist the truss-wall stud units into a substantially vertical position with a winch; and
one or more temporary interlocking spacer bars disposed between truss members of the one or more truss-wall stud units.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The system as recited in claim 5, further comprising a pulley coupled with a portion of the truss-wall stud unit.

### Claim 7

A hinge bracket comprising:
one or more main portions including one or more holes for fasteners;
at least one inner portion and at least one outer portion hingedly coupled with an intermediate portion along a fold line, the inner portion and outer portion disposed at least partially within the main portions;
the at least one inner portion and the at least one outer portion foldable relative to the one or more main portions;
the at least one inner portion and at least one outer portion including one or more holes therein for fasteners; and
at least one outer tab hingedly coupled relative to the central portion, the at least one outer tab including one or more holes therein for fasteners.

### Claim 8

A temporary interlocking spacer bar comprising;
an elongate member extending from a first end portion to a second end portion and having an intermediate portion therebetween;
the first end portion and the second end portion having a retention member, the retention member sized to receive and retain a truss member truss—wall stud unit therein; and
the first and second end portions sized to space two or more truss-wall stud units a predetermined distance from one another.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar as recited in claim 8, wherein the temporary interlocking spacer bar is constructed from at least one of plastic, metal, or and similar material.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar as recited in claim 8, further comprising rib supports disposed near at least one of the first end portion and the second end portion.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar as recited in claim 8, wherein the retention member comprises a U-shaped member.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar as recited in claim 8, further comprising an outer curved portion opposite the retention member.

### Claim 13

A hinge bracket for use with truss-wall stud units, said bracket comprising two main portions having a first inner portion and a second inner portion located with said main portions,
said first and second inner portions disposed at least partially within said main potions and being foldable relative to said main portions;
an intermediate portion located between the first inner portion and the second inner portion,
said first and second inner portion having a fold line and being hingedly connected relative to said intermediate portion along said fold line,
a bottom plate connected to a building foundation, and
said hinge bracket being attached to said bottom plate.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The invention as in claim 13, including first and second inner portions being configured to be attached to a truss-wall stud unit leg.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The invention as in claim 14, wherein said first inner portion is opposite the second inner portion with said intermediate partition therebetween.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The invention as in claim 15, wherein after said main portion is offered to said bottom plate the first inner portion and the intermediate portion are attached to said leg prior to lifting said stud to a vertical position.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The invention as in claim 16, wherein said second inner portion is connected to said leg after said truss-wall stud unit is lifted to a vertical position.

### Claim 18

(canceled)

### Claim 19 (depends on 8)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar of claim 8, wherein the temporary interlocking spacer bar is configured for assisting in hoisting the two or more truss-wall stud units.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The temporary interlocking spacer bar of claim 19 further comprising an outer curved portion opposite the retention member, wherein the outward curved portion opposite the retention member is configured for assisting the temporary interlocking spacer bar to ride over a portion of the truss-wall stud unit before the temporary interlocking spacer bar slips securely into place during the hoisting of the two or more truss-wall stud units.

### Claim 21

a temporary interlocking spacer bar comprising:
a first end portion having a retention member and an outer curved portion opposite the retention member;
a second end portion having a retention member and an outer curved portion opposite the retention member;
