Method and apparatus for reconfiguring a bearer

A method performed by a terminal, the method comprising:

• receiving a control message including configuration information via a radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
• identifying whether a bearer type is changed based on the configuration information;
• and
• transmitting a data based on the bearer type if the bearer type is changed.

A method performed by a base station, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a terminal, a control message including configuration information via a radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
• and
• receiving, from the terminal, a data based on a bearer type if the bearer type is changed,
• wherein information on the bearer type is included in the configuration information.

A terminal, the terminal comprising:

• a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• receive a control message including configuration information via a radio resource control (RRC) signaling,
• identify whether a bearer type is changed based on the configuration information, and
• transmit a data based on the bearer type if the bearer type is changed.

A base station, the base station comprising:

• a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• transmit, to a terminal, a control message including configuration information via a radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
• and
• receive, from the terminal, a data based on a bearer type if the bearer type is changed,
• wherein information on the bearer type is included in the configuration information.
