Abstract
Provided is a communication technology of an access point and a terminal that may decrease power consumption by changing an operation state of the terminal from an awake state to a sleep state when a data stream to be transmitted to the terminal is absent or has completed in a transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration.

A method of a terminal, the method comprising:
- receiving a data frame including a medium access control (MAC) header and a very high throughput signal (VHT-SIG) field from an access point;
- and
- decoding the VHT-SIG field,
- wherein the VHT-SIG field comprises information indicating whether the access point allows the terminal to enter a doze state during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration.

- a decoder configured to decode the VHT-SIG field,
